Sales Manager - Club Pilates Waxhaw
Assistant Manager — Club Pilates Waxhaw, Indian Trail
Born in San Diego in 2007, Club Pilates has grown into the nation's largest Pilates brand — delivering over eight million workouts a year to members who keep coming back. We stay true to Joseph Pilates' original Reformer-based method, modernized with group practice and state-of-the-art equipment, at a price that makes world-class training accessible to everyone.
We believe Pilates changes lives. And we're looking for people who want to help lead the team that shares it.
This Isn't Your Average Studio Job
We're a boutique fitness studio, which means leadership here is close to the work — and close to the people doing it. As an Assistant Manager, you're not behind a desk. You're on the floor developing your team, out in the community building relationships, and partnering with your General Manager to run a studio that members genuinely love. We invest in our leaders, build schedules that work for real lives, and create an environment where showing up feels good.

About the Role
The Assistant Manager is a key partner to the General Manager in running the full studio operation. You own the sales floor, develop the Sales Associate team, drive community presence, and make sure the day-to-day runs the way it should — organized, member-focused, and on target. This is a working manager role. You're in it with your team, not above it.
What makes someone successful here isn't just sales experience — it's the combination of knowing how to perform and knowing how to bring others along. We're specifically looking for people who have been a top performer themselves, managed or mentored others, or both. You understand what it takes to hit a number and you can teach someone else how to do it too.
What You'll Do
Lead and develop the Sales Associate team — hiring the right people, onboarding them thoroughly, coaching them consistently, and holding them to a standard that makes the whole studio better. Own the studio's four revenue streams — memberships, retail, private training, and teacher training — and actively work to grow all of them. Drive the sales process from lead generation through close: grassroots outreach, community events, health fairs, local business partnerships, and neighborhood activations. This is one of the best parts of the role — getting out, representing a brand you're proud of, and building real relationships in the community. Manage the staff schedule and ensure the floor is covered and running smoothly at all times. Maintain ClubReady proficiency — pull revenue and attendance reports, manage member accounts, track lead pipeline activity, and collect outstanding dues. Coordinate with vendors to keep retail and studio products stocked with accurate inventory. Ensure the studio stays clean, organized, and fully stocked with forms, supplies, and literature. Enforce Club Pilates policies and procedures consistently and professionally. Review instructor evaluations and escalate or act on findings in partnership with the GM. Make independent decisions on high-level customer service situations — you're empowered to make it right.
What We're Looking For
You've been a strong individual performer in sales or a customer-facing role. You've also led, managed, or formally mentored others — and you're ready to own that responsibility fully. You know the difference between hitting your own number and building a team that hits theirs, and you want to do both.
Specifically, we're looking for someone who has 2+ years of fitness, sales, or relevant experience, has been a top performer in a sales or service environment and can prove it, has managed, supervised, or trained others — formally or informally, communicates clearly and professionally in person, on the phone, and in writing, is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities without dropping the ball, can handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism, thrives in a fast-moving boutique environment where no two days look exactly the same, and has a genuine passion for fitness and wellness — Pilates experience is a plus but not required.
Valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and access to reliable transportation required.
Compensation & Perks
Competitive base pay commensurate with experience and performance. Commission on personal sales. Performance bonuses. Medical, dental, and vision benefits. Free or discounted membership. Flexible scheduling. Ongoing development and coaching — we grow our leaders from within. A clear path to General Manager for the right person.
